Dipl. Ing. Christoph Mann, born in 1985, studied sound engineering and works at the Hybrid Music Lab of the Dresden University of Music. He began his musical education as a member of the Dresden Kreuzchor, and continued it with studies in sound engineering at the Erich Tienhaus Institute in Detmold. During this time he worked mainly in the fields of classical recording, sound design and electronic music, and in 2012 wrote his diploma thesis on the topic of "Conception, development and evaluation of a system for real-time control of large parameter groups".

He won the Association of German Sound Engineers (VDT) Young Talent Award in 2010 in the sound art category, as well as 2nd prize in the Sound Design E-Mobility competition of the Baden-Württemberg region in 2012.
In addition to software development and compositional work with virtual instruments in AR/VR, he teaches on topics such as acoustics, sound engineering and sound design, as well as on the computer-based realisation of audiovisual applications in general.
