Trombone Wind Instruments
Our educational goal is to combine tradition and modernity in a high-quality, practical, and future-oriented education. Under the guidance of leading educators, recognized orchestral musicians, and renowned soloists, students are specifically prepared for the demands of today's job market.

Brass SpectrumFestival
The Brass Spectrum Festival takes place regularly at the Dresden University of Music under the direction of Prof. Björn Kadenbach and Prof. Jan Donner. The festival offers a variety of concerts, workshops, and an instrument exhibition. Further information can be found at:
Your path to a successful career

The program includes regular lessons in the principal instrument, accompaniment, participation in the university symphony orchestra, chamber music, and playing in various (brass) wind ensembles. Individual specializations in early and contemporary music are expressly possible and contribute to a broad, personal profile. The program is further enhanced by regular invitations from renowned visiting professors to the Dresden University of Music.

Ensemble concerts, solo performances and concerts as part of excursions offer diverse performance opportunities and combine artistic excellence with extensive practical experience.

Depending on personal goals, students can choose between an artistic and an artistic-pedagogical degree program. In the artistic programs, there is also the opportunity to learn other instruments within the trombone family, thus enriching the individual training profile in a particularly valuable way. This results in an education that uniquely combines artistic excellence, individual profile development, diverse practical experience, and targeted preparation for the future demands of professional life.
