Training

Broadly Diversified, Practically Oriented, Individually

The focus of the study programme is the development of an artistic personality with all its creative potential, who confidently meets the requirements of the current music business. The basis for this is the comprehensive technical and musical training and promotion of creativity and independence.

Focus Areas

In addition to regular main subject studies and correpetition, the work in the college symphony orchestra as well as chamber music, early and new music belong to the focal points of the studies. This guarantees a broadly diversified and individual training.

Gain Concert Experience

Ensemble projects with other musicians of the college and work in the college and workshop orchestras or the big band provide important practical experience. The corresponding stage practice guarantees regular podium concerts.

Flexible Training

Depending on personal goals, students can choose between an artistic and an instrumental pedagogy program. In the artistic programs, it is possible to supplement the training by choosing a secondary instrument such as alto trombone, tenorhorn, or contrabass trombone.
