Vocal Studies
Under outstanding study conditions and in an exceptionally creative environment, including a wide range of collaborations with the Semperoper Dresden and the Theater Chemnitz, among others, future singers are trained in all of the HfM Dresden degree programs listed here. Many prize winners of national and international competitions, world-renowned alumni, top-class engagements in various opera ensembles, in top choirs and extremely successful solo careers in the concert field testify to the efficiency and sustainability of our training concept.

Studio for Voice Research
The Studio for Voice Research provides services tailored to all artists who make professional use of breathing, voice, and speech; drawing on many years of medical and phoniatric expertise, the studio constitutes a key component of the institute.
Stage Speech
Producing a resonant, physically grounded, and well-projected voice; achieving precise, clear articulation; and interpreting lyrics and scenes from opera and drama - these are the core elements of our stage speech curriculum. Because our subject is integrated into several degree programs, we work in an interdisciplinary, project-based manner. Sharing the stage with jazz musicians, reciting a modern version of *Hamlet* while doing a headstand, or rapping Pamina’s aria from Mozart’s *The Magic Flute* in English - these are the kinds of things we do here.
Ensemble Work
In addition to the offerings of the opera class and the art song and concert class, there are existing collaborations and connections with ensembles such as Auditiv Vokal and the Dresden Chamber Choir. Furthermore, ensemble work serves as preparation for staged performance training.
