Confidance Team of the HfM
Dear students, staff, faculty, and members of the university community,
There is no place for (sexualized) discrimination and violence, exclusion, bullying, or abuse of power at HfM Dresden.
All members of the university community—whether studying, conducting research, teaching, or working in administration—may turn to the Confidential Support Team, particularly in the following situations:
- Are you experiencing exclusion, such as racism or antisemitism, at the university?
- Are you encountering bullying or abuse of power at the university?
- Do you have concerns or problems regarding your studies or employment at HfM Dresden that you cannot or do not wish to discuss with anyone else?
The Confidential Support Team is here to offer advice and practical assistance, and aims to help you when you do not know where else to turn.
In any case, we work with absolute confidentiality
- No information will be passed on to third parties unless you request it.
- Every step we take individually or as a team is discussed with you beforehand.
- You can involve someone you trust at any time.

Further Assistance
HfM Dresden is a member of Themis, a confidential counseling service addressing sexual harassment and violence in the cultural and media sectors. Themis offers free, confidential telephone counseling to individuals—whether victims or witnesses—who have experienced sexual harassment, violence, or abusive behavior. The service is available to all members of the university and includes support and assistance regarding legal questions and the formal complaint process. Additionally, university members can obtain information on further steps and protective measures, as well as access free socio-psychological counseling (e.g., developing joint strategies for handling the situation).
