The guitar program at the Dresden University of Music is unique and unparalleled internationally. We are rethinking guitar education and have eliminated the strict separation between classical and jazz guitar within the curriculum. This interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approach is considered one of the most successful in the world today. Our students transcend genre boundaries and, not least for this reason, are among the stars of the guitar scene worldwide.
