MDR KULTUR collaborates with renowned venues and festivals in Saxony, Thuringia, and Saxony-Anhalt. Its cultural partners include alternative venues like the Theaterhaus Jena, as well as luminaries of high culture such as the Semperoper, and festivals like the Kurt Weill Festival in Dessau and the Bach Festival in Leipzig.

In addition to the music academies in Leipzig and Weimar, the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music Dresden has also entered into a cultural partnership with MDR KULTUR.

Networks in the arts generate lasting synergies and simultaneously provide new, often unexpected, inspiration. It was with these aspects in mind that KlangNetz Dresden was founded, under the leadership of the Institute for New Music at the Dresden University of Music. Funded by, among others, the German Federal Cultural Foundation, KlangNetz Dresden aims to provide important impetus in the field of contemporary music and to significantly improve the presence and public perception of contemporary music in Dresden.
