The saxophone class is characterised by a well-founded study of jazz vocabulary and repertoire, on the basis of which personal musical ideas and strengths are individually promoted.

The focus of the study programme is the development of an artistic personality with all its creative potential, who confidently meets the requirements of the current music business. The basis for this is the comprehensive technical and musical training and promotion of creativity and independence.

Contents of the Training
In addition to developing and deepening the jazz-specific idioms: Timing, phrasing and articulation - are improvising on functional harmonic and modal compositions in different styles, improvising on different beat types and playing at different tempo levels, creating and analysing transcriptions and developing your own vocabulary and sounds the focus of the training.

Concert and Stage Experience
The training spectrum is rounded off by offers such as performance, different ensembles and musical projects, work in a recording studio and insights into the areas of booking/promotion/copyright.

Focus on Creativity and Individuality
During the first two years of study, basic knowledge of classical saxophone playing is also taught. Secondary instruments such as clarinet and flute can/should be learned. The lessons are repeatedly supported by workshops. Musicians like Jerry Bergonzi, Miguel Zenon and Ben Wendell have been guests in the past.
